WARRANTY
The Happy Captain boathook is sold with an unlimited warrantly covering serious faults in manufacture, but with fair wear and tear or inappropriate use excluded. We are not required to provide a refund if you change your mind about the purchase. Exercising the warranty requires the claimant to provide proof of purchase (the Happy Captain Pty Ltd receipt or the email name of the buyer to allow our match), and to pay the freight return cost to us. In the event claim approval, (not to be unreasonably withheld by Happy Captain Pty Ltd), the claimant may choose either to receive a replacement item or receive a refund.
PRIVACY
The Happy Captain hopes that people will buy our products via the e-store, and for this to work we will require to collect the customers name and address, phone or email contant detail, and payment method and delivery address details. The happy aptain warrants that we will only use these details for three reasons;
1. to avail the payment approval.
The Happy Captain advises that the rigid security appropriate to your credit card and payment details passed to our e-shop is handled exclusively by the safety-renowned National Australia Bank "NAB Transact " system, and this information is not seen or stored by our web-site servers, nor by us.
2. To keep the customers name and contact details to validate any warranty claims.
3. to keep the customers name and contact details to advise the customer of new Happy Captain product releases or sea-stories that have been contributed by our customer community.
The happy captain has no interest in, or intention of, using the information for other reasons than the above, and we will not release these records to other parties unless they are demanded by an authorised government agency that is empowered to demand such records for a valid and advised reason.
DELIVERY
The Happy Captain has contracted to use Australia Post to pick up and deliver articles purchased from us to our customers. They advise that delivery should take not more than 5 business days to any Australian address. If the customer delivery address is outside Australia, the Australia Post international parcel service can still arrange delivery, but we regret the need then to add a surcharge to the flat-rate freight rate quoted for within Australia. Australia post advises that in most cases the delivery time should not exceed 14 days to anywhere in the world.
The Happy Captain warrants that Credit cards will not be debited for purchase until the goods have been dispatched, and that the customer will receive an email (if an email address is provided) advising such dispatch.
